3lectromode: In 2010 Valérie Lamontagne founded 3lectromode in Montréal, Canada. 3lectromode is a wearable electronics atelier dedicated to avant-garde crafting and consulting in fashionable technologies. We develop fashiontech garments and tangible solutions for smart textiles and wearable technology designs.

Bio: Valérie Lamontagne is a Montréal artist-designer, curator, and holds a PhD in “Performative Wearables: Bodies, Fashion and Technology” from Concordia University where she teaches in the Department of Design & Computation Arts. She is the owner & designer at 3lectromode, a wearables electronics atelier and founder of the Fashiontech Festival in Montreal. She is also collaborating on the project “synapseWear” with Alexander Reeder from Art and Program Inc., based in Tokyo, investigating artistic uses for environmental data in wearable devices.
